Maharashtra Woman in Critical Condition After US Accident
Neelam Shinde, a woman from Maharashtra’s Satara district, is fighting for her life in a hospital in the United States after suffering critical injuries in a road accident. The incident occurred on February 14, and a suspect has been arrested in connection with the case. Shinde’s family learned about her condition two days later from her roommate.
Family Seeks Urgent Visa Assistance
Shinde’s family is urgently seeking the Central government’s help to obtain a visa so they can visit her. The hospital has sent an email urging the family to come to the US as soon as possible due to her critical state. Tragically, Shinde’s mother passed away just a few days ago, adding to the family’s distress.
Political Leaders Step In for Support
As the family struggles to secure an immediate visa, they have reached out to various officials for assistance, including Union Minister Murlidhar Mohol and former MP Shriniwas Patil. However, they have expressed disappointment over the lack of support from the government. In response, NCP (SP) leader Supriya Sule has appealed to External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar for help in facilitating the visa process. Sule tweeted about Shinde’s situation, highlighting the urgency of the matter.
