According to a statement from the Finance Ministry, the application process for the Prime Minister’s Internship Scheme is currently underway. Key Features of the Scheme
The Pradhan Mantri Internship Scheme, with an estimated budget of Rs 800 crore, is set to begin on December 2, 2024, with internships under pilot projects. The scheme was launched by Union Finance and Corporate Affairs Minister Nirmala Sitharaman in the Union Budget 2024-25, and will be managed through the Ministry of Corporate Affairs.
As of now, over 1,27,000 internship offers have already been provided by 280 companies, with a target to offer internships to 1.5 lakh youth through a pilot project. The offer letters for selected candidates will be sent out by November 25, 2024, and the internships will commence on December 2, 2024.
