Fire Breaks Out in Parked Vehicles Near Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj
On the morning of January 25, 2025, a fire erupted in two parked vehicles near the main road leading to the Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh. The incident occurred around 6:30 AM when a Maruti Ertiga car caught fire, which then spread to a nearby Venue car. Fire services officer Vishal Yadav reported that six fire brigades and water tenders were promptly dispatched to the scene, and the fire was successfully controlled without any casualties.
Authorities believe the fire was caused by extreme heat, as devotees from distant areas had parked their vehicles along the road leading to the Maha Kumbh Mela venue. The Ertiga car was completely destroyed, while the Venue car suffered partial damage. An investigation is underway to determine the exact cause of the fire.
