Delhi University has introduced a new admission structure for its Bachelor of Arts programs. Students can now select two domain subjects and two languages, moving away from the previous requirement of one language and three domain subjects. The university will also implement changes for students applying to science and commerce courses. All admissions will now occur through the Common University Entrance Test (CUET).
Revised Eligibility Criteria for BCom (Hons) and Science Courses
For the 2025-26 academic session, Delhi University has updated the eligibility criteria for BCom (Hons). Now, students who did not study mathematics in Class 12 can apply. Additionally, the university has removed the minimum language score requirement for students pursuing Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) courses.
For commerce programs, the admission combinations have been clarified. One combination requires a language from List A, mathematics or applied mathematics, and two subjects from List B. The second combination remains unchanged. DU will open admissions across 91 colleges for the upcoming academic session.

Delhi University has made significant changes to its admission criteria, particularly regarding language requirements for science courses. Previously, students pursuing Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) were mandated to achieve a minimum score of 30 percent in their language papers. This requirement has now been eliminated, providing greater flexibility for students.
