Sakoli : Polling station ready for assembly elections

Bhandara, The administration has completed all preparations for the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly elections to be held tomorrow, November 20. For the Sakoli constituency, all polling parties have been dispatched with necessary voting materials, including EVMs, to ensure peaceful voting across 379 polling stations, with arrangements for security and facilities in place.

Dispatch of Polling Parties Completed

A total of 1,724 employees have been appointed for the election process. Polling parties, equipped with voting materials, EVM machines, and necessary equipment, have been dispatched to the polling stations, with special transportation arrangements made for their safe return post-voting. A total of 44 large buses, 17 smaller vehicles, and 39 vehicles for zonal officers have been arranged.

Polling Stations and Voters in Sakoli Constituency

The Sakoli constituency consists of three talukas: Sakoli, Lakhandur, and Lakhnadi. There are a total of 326,999 voters, including 163,594 men, 163,405 women, and 8,645 first-time voters. Special arrangements have been made for 2,569 elderly voters (above 85 years old) and 3,172 differently-abled voters. Additionally, three ‘Sakhi’ voting centers, three first-time voter centers, and one center for differently-abled voters have been set up.

Security and Order

Strict security measures have been implemented to maintain peace during the voting process. Police and central security forces have been deployed at polling stations. The administration has made special efforts to ensure that voters can vote without fear.

Election Day Arrangements

The administration has taken all necessary measures to ensure that voters face no difficulties on election day. They are confident that the election process in the constituency will proceed smoothly and peacefully.

Election Officer Ashwini Manje has urged voters to come forward and exercise their right to vote, contributing to the democratic process.
