New Delhi: The swearing-in ceremony for the Maharashtra government’s cabinet is taking place in Nagpur today. However, ahead of this event, significant news has surfaced. Bhandara MLA Narendra Bhondekar, upset about not being included in the cabinet, has resigned from his position as the Deputy Leader of Shiv Sena.
According to sources, Eknath Shinde had promised to offer Narendra Bhondekar a ministerial post during the elections. However, Bhondekar did not receive a place in the cabinet, which led to his resignation. As of now, there has been no official confirmation from the Shiv Sena (Shinde faction) regarding this development.
39 MLAs Take Oath as Ministers
The first expansion of the Maharashtra cabinet took place in Nagpur, where 39 MLAs were sworn in as ministers. Maharashtra Governor C.P. Radhakrishnan administered the oath to the new ministers. The list of ministers includes 19 from the BJP, 12 from Shiv Sena, and 8 from NCP.
The BJP MLAs who took the oath include Pankaja Munde, Atul Save, Chandrakant Patil, Girish Mahajan, Radhakrishna Vikhe Patil, Sanjay Savkare, Nitesh Rane, Jaykumar Gore, Shivendra Raje Bhosale, Ashish Shelar, Ashok Uike, Madhuri Misal, Pankaj Bhoir, Meghna Bordikar, Chandrashekhar Bawankul, Mangalprabhat Lodha, Jaykumar Rawal, Akash Pandurang Fundkar, and Ganesh Naik.
The NCP MLAs who were sworn in include Hasal Mushrif, Dattatraya Bharane, Indranil Naik, Babasaheb Mohanrao Patil, Narhari Jhirwal, Manikrao Kokate, Aditi Tatkare, and Dhananjay Munde.
From Shiv Sena, Gulabrao Patil, Ashish Jaiswal, Yogesh Kadam, Sanjay Shirsat, Prakash Abitkar, Bharat Gogavale, Pratap Sarnaik, Uday Samant, Sanjay Rathod, Shambhu Raj Desai, and Dada Bhuse took the oath as ministers.
