  • Track Curvature, Visibility Issues Blamed for Jalgaon Accident

Officials investigating the tragic Jalgaon Pushpak Express accident, which occurred near Pachora on January 22, 2025, have identified track curvature and limited visibility as the primary contributing factors. The incident took place when passengers aboard the stationary Pushpak Express were struck by the approaching Karnataka Express.

Initial reports reveal that the curved alignment of the railway track significantly hindered the driver’s ability to see potential hazards ahead. In addition, reduced visibility in the area further worsened the situation, leaving insufficient time for the driver to react and apply the brakes effectively. These combined factors, along with the high speed of the Karnataka Express, resulted in the tragic collision.

Concerns Raised Over Railway Safety and Investigations Underway

Eyewitnesses and officials at the scene confirmed that the passengers of the Pushpak Express were on the tracks at the time of the accident. The curve of the track, along with dim lighting and limited visibility, made it difficult for the Karnataka Express to halt in time to avoid hitting the passengers.

In response to the incident, railway authorities have launched a detailed investigation to examine the sequence of events and assess whether operational protocols were followed properly. Preliminary findings suggest that improvements in signaling systems, track visibility, and stricter passenger safety measures could have prevented the collision.

The accident has raised serious concerns about safety standards, particularly in areas with sharp curves or poor visibility. Authorities have pledged to take necessary actions to improve infrastructure and ensure better safety measures across the rail network, to avoid such incidents in the future. The collision highlights the urgent need for enhancements in rail safety and stricter operational protocols to protect passengers and railway personnel.

  • Mahadev App Scam: Alleged Political ‘Boss’ Involvement in Major Fraud in Beed District

A major scam involving the Mahadev App has surfaced in Beed district, with serious allegations of political involvement. BJP MLA Suresh Dhas, who has been outspoken about the Santosh Deshmukh murder case, has claimed that a political ‘boss’ is implicated in the scam. Dhas has called for a comprehensive investigation by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) and has met with the Superintendent of Police to push for action.

The Mahadev betting app is once again under scrutiny, with Dhas accusing political figures in Beed of being linked to the fraudulent activities. Dhas has alleged that transactions worth around ₹9 billion were carried out through the app, allegedly in the name of a person from Parli. Furthermore, he has stated that two police officers are also involved. Dhas has suggested that a detailed investigation could uncover connections to international networks, potentially reaching as far as Malaysia.

BJP MLA Claims Political Influence in Beed Cases

Dhas has stressed the need for a full investigation into the scam. He has also claimed that in every case in Beed, there is always one political ‘boss’ behind the scenes. Dhas accused these figures of pressuring farmers into selling their land in various locations. He strongly believes that the same political figure may be behind the Mahadev App Scam.

Having already taken an assertive stance in the Santosh Deshmukh murder case, Dhas’s focus on the Mahadev App Scam has ignited a political stir in Maharashtra. All eyes are now on how the government responds to these serious allegations.

Central Government Bans Mahadev Betting App

On November 5, 2023, the central government ordered the blocking of the Mahadev betting app, along with 22 other illegal betting apps and websites, following recommendations from the ED. The government issued these orders under Section 69A of the Information Technology Act. The Mahadev app attracted significant attention when the ED claimed it intercepted email records from ‘Cash Courier,’ revealing that former Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel allegedly received ₹508 crore from UAE-based promoters of the app. However, Baghel has denied these claims.

ED Files Case on November 8, 2023

On November 8, 2023, the Mumbai police registered a fraud case against the Mahadev betting app and its promoters. The accused are facing charges of fraud and illegal gambling. More than 30 individuals, including Saurabh Chandrakar and Ravi Uppal, were named in the FIR filed at the Matunga police station. The case was later transferred to the Mumbai Crime Branch, and a Special Investigation Team (SIT) was set up for further inquiry. The issue initially came to light when a social activist filed a petition in a lower court, seeking action against the app and its promoters. The court directed the Matunga police to register the case. According to the FIR, the accused are alleged to have defrauded people of approximately ₹15,000 crore.

Fact check: Have aliens come to Earth ? Video of UFO crash goes viral, know the truth

Viral UFO Crash Video: Truth Behind the Claims

In recent days, discussions about aliens and UFOs have been dominating social media platforms. Amidst these debates, a video claiming that a UFO crashed on Earth has gone viral at the start of the new year. Let’s delve into the details and uncover the truth behind this sensational claim.

    What Are Users Claiming?

The viral video is being widely shared across social media platforms like X and YouTube. One prominent example is a video uploaded by a YouTube channel named Patel King. In the video, several individuals appear to be examining what is claimed to be a UFO. The video caption speculates, “An alien spacecraft will crash in 2025—who knows what will happen?” This has fueled widespread curiosity and discussions online.

    Investigating the Video

To verify the authenticity of the video, Sajag’s investigative team closely analyzed the content. They noticed the word ‘sybervisions’ prominently displayed in the video. A quick Google search of this term led them to an Instagram account, @sybervisions_. The bio of this account explicitly mentions that it features AI-generated content.

This finding strongly indicates that the viral UFO crash video was not an authentic recording but rather a creation of AI technology designed for entertainment or speculative purposes.

    Conclusion

The widely shared UFO crash video is not real. Sajag’s investigation confirms that it is AI-generated content, misleadingly presented as an actual event. While such videos can be intriguing and spark curiosity, it is essential to verify the authenticity of such claims to avoid spreading misinformation.

As technology advances, AI-generated content is becoming increasingly sophisticated, making it crucial for viewers to remain vigilant and rely on credible sources for accurate information.

    The World’s Largest Bird Sculpture

At the heart of the Jatayu Nature Park lies the world’s largest bird sculpture, a colossal 200-foot (61 meters) long, 150-foot (46 meters) wide, and 70-foot (21 meters) high representation of Jatayu, the mythical vulture from the Ramayana epic. Sculpted by renowned artist Rajiv Anchal, the sculpture occupies an impressive 15,000 square feet (1,400 square meters) of floor space. The design symbolizes strength, courage, and the protection of women, drawing inspiration from Jatayu’s valiant fight to save Sita from Ravana’s abduction.

    The Mythological Connection of Jatayu

Jatayu, a demi-god in Hindu mythology, played a heroic role in the Ramayana. As Ravana tried to abduct Sita, Jatayu attempted to intervene, but due to his old age, he was defeated by Ravana. In the battle, Ravana clipped Jatayu’s wings, and the injured bird fell to the rocks in Chadayamangalam. When Lord Rama and his brother Lakshmana later passed by, Jatayu, on his deathbed, informed them of Ravana’s direction, guiding them in their mission to rescue Sita.

Jatayu Earth Center is more than just a sculpture park. The museum helps preserve the ancient tales of the Ramayana while providing a unique experience that connects visitors with the rich traditions of Kerala.

A Cave Resort for Healing and Relaxation

Visitors will soon be able to rejuvenate and relax while learning about Jatayu’s legendary struggle, all while experiencing the healing benefits of traditional Kerala therapies.

  • Interesting Facts About Navapur Railway Station: A Unique Station Divided Between Two States

A unique railway station of India, the platform is divided into two states, announcements are made in 4 languages

Indian Railways has some fascinating facts that most people don’t know. One such unique railway station is Navapur Railway Station, located on the Surat-Bhusawal line. What makes this station stand out is that it is divided between two states: Gujarat and Maharashtra. Yes, you read that right! Half of the station is in Gujarat, and the other half is in Maharashtra. Let’s take a closer look at this interesting station and how it functions.

Navapur Railway Station: A Station Divided by a State Border

Navapur Railway Station falls under the Western Railway zone of Indian Railways and is located at the border between Maharashtra and Gujarat. The station is unique because it is divided into two parts: half of it lies in the Nandurbar district of Maharashtra, while the other half is situated in Tapi district of Gujarat. This station existed even before the creation of Gujarat and Maharashtra as separate states, and after the bifurcation, no significant changes were made to the station’s structure. The border between the two states literally cuts through the middle of the station.

A Bench Divided Between Two States

One of the most remarkable features of Navapur Railway Station is a wooden bench located at the exact spot where the border passes through. This unique bench is split between two states, with half in Maharashtra and the other half in Gujarat. It’s a quirky symbol of how this railway station bridges the two states. In fact, many other station facilities and structures are also divided along the state boundary.

    Railway Announcements in Four Languages

Navapur Railway Station serves passengers from both Gujarat and Maharashtra, and to cater to the diverse population, train announcements are made in four languages: English, Hindi, Marathi, and Gujarati. This multilingual approach ensures that commuters from both states can understand the announcements. The station’s length is 800 meters, with 500 meters in Gujarat and the remaining 300 meters in Maharashtra, making it one of the most uniquely divided stations in India.

Where is the Ticket Counter and Station Master’s Office Located?

At Navapur Railway Station, the ticket counter and railway police are located in the Nandurbar district of Maharashtra, while the station master’s office, waiting room, and restrooms are situated in the Tapi district of Gujarat. This division ensures that both states have control over the respective parts of the station and its operations.

A Symbol of Unity Despite Division

In 2018, former Railway Minister Piyush Goyal tweeted a picture of the bench dividing the two states, captioning it, “Divided by states, but united by railways.” This simple yet powerful statement highlights how, despite being split between two states, the station serves as a symbol of unity for the people of both Maharashtra and Gujarat.

  • Punjab Political News: Development Wave Sweeping Punjab, Says Arvind Kejriwal

Chandigarh, Arvind Kejriwal, National Convenor of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), addressed the people of Punjab, stating that the state is currently witnessing an unprecedented wave of development. He highlighted the improvements in administrative services, better education for children, and free medical treatment for the sick. He further emphasized that citizens no longer need to visit government offices to resolve their issues, as the government is reaching out to the people directly.

Kejriwal attributed these achievements to the “effective leadership” of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann. He made these remarks while campaigning for AAP candidate Gurdeep Singh Randhawa in a rally at Dera Baba Nanak, alongside Chief Minister Mann. Both leaders urged the public to support Randhawa, highlighting his potential to bring further development to the region.

AAP Government’s Achievements: Kejriwal and Mann Reflect on Promises Fulfilled

Arvind Kejriwal and Bhagwant Mann took the opportunity to outline the key accomplishments of the AAP government in Punjab over the past two and a half years. They stressed that many of the party’s major electoral promises have been successfully delivered, including the provision of better healthcare, quality education, and efficient governance. Kejriwal reminded the audience that two and a half years ago, the people of Punjab gave AAP a historic mandate, with the party securing 92 out of 117 seats in the state assembly— the highest ever in Punjab’s history.

Kejriwal appealed to the public to back Gurdeep Singh Randhawa in the upcoming elections, assuring them that his election as a representative of Dera Baba Nanak would lead to the establishment of a bio-gas plant and a sugar mill in the area. This, he said, would generate thousands of job opportunities for local youth.

Kejriwal Criticizes Opposition, Highlights AAP’s Focus on Public Service

Kejriwal also took the opportunity to criticize the opposition, particularly former Congress leaders. He accused them of treating politics as a business, driven by self-interest. In contrast, he praised Bhagwant Mann for his commitment to public service. “Arvind Kejriwal left his job to serve the people, and we are not in politics for money or personal gain,” Kejriwal said.

Mann also addressed the crowd, emphasizing that AAP is focused on serving the people, unlike traditional political parties that view politics as a means of personal gain. He also highlighted AAP’s rapid growth, noting that in just 12 years, the party has formed governments in two states and secured significant representation in other states, including Gujarat, Goa, and Jammu & Kashmir, with 13 MPs.

AAP’s Growing Influence in Punjab and Beyond

Mann pointed out that AAP’s rise in Indian politics is a direct result of public support, noting that the power of democracy lies with the people, not with traditional politicians who often view themselves as more important than the electorate. He asserted that AAP’s success is a testament to its focus on the people and their needs.

With promises of economic development and increased job opportunities, both Kejriwal and Mann rallied for the support of Punjab’s citizens, reinforcing the message that AAP’s mission is to put the welfare of the public first.

Thiruvananthapuram: Over 150 people were injured, with 10 suffering serious injuries, in a fireworks accident at a temple in Kasaragod district, Kerala, late last night. Disturbing footage from the scene captured the moment a firework display triggered a massive fire, forcing panicked crowds to flee.

The incident took place at Anjootambalam Veererkavu during a festive celebration marking the start of the season in north Malabar. Eyewitnesses reported that the firework display was underway around midnight when a firecracker likely fell into a nearby shed storing more fireworks, resulting in an explosion.

Priyesh, who attended the festival with family, recounted the chaos: “It started with a loud blast, and then we saw a ball of fire. Panic ensued, and many couldn’t move freely due to the crowd. We immediately began rushing the injured to nearby hospitals.”

Sreerag, a temple associate who traveled from Bengaluru for the festival, was managing the crowd when the explosion occurred. He noted that the crowd was larger than usual for the second day of festivities.

Local residents informed that the shed containing Chinese crackers was located too close to the firing site. Panchayat representatives criticized the lack of safety measures. “While this is typically a small event, there should have been more caution regarding the distance between the shed and the fireworks,” said local ward member E Shajeer.

Kasaragod collector Inbasekar K emphasized that firecrackers should be stored at least 100 meters away from firing sites; however, in this case, the distance was only a few feet.

The temple committee’s president and secretary are currently in police custody. Authorities stated that approximately Rs 28,000 worth of low-intensity firecrackers were stored in a temporary shed covered with tin, leading to the explosion and subsequent tragedy.
